Wake Up

Wake up to the early light,
Find the sky in the clear blue;
Thoughts have come from the night,
Some are old and some are new.

Bring your thoughts around here,
Like the clouds that fly on by,
This is blossoming summer's year,
For the likes of you and I.

Drift away,
Don't stay,
Drift into the early morn day;
To clouds far and high,
To the faraway blue sky.

We are here for reasons - all,
Why it is we do not know;
Like the mountains standing tall,
Higher hills and vales low.

Giving daily opportunities,
Flying away with time that's done;
Winter's wintry or summer's breeze,
Carrying life and going still on.

Drift away,
Don't stay,
Drift in the early morn day;
To clouds far and high,
To the faraway blue sky.

Drift in the early morn day,
Nothing's forever.

Drift away,
Don't stay.
